Welcome to our website about life on the edge of the moor. Our aim is to create a record of this special corner of Dartmoor for our family and friends - and anyone else who is interested. Over time we hope to build a set of resources that will  be useful to others, with local walks, foraging tips and notes on nature and local history.

In August 2017 we moved from the increasingly polluted south-east of England to St Olaves House, Murchington - a tiny hamlet in the upper Teign valley at the heart of Devon's Dartmoor National Park. It was originally part of a Victorian country estate and pleasure gardens created in the 1860s and 1870s.
